A recap of my Central Europe trip, Prague edition! These blog posts are going to be short and sweet. I recommend for you to see what my friends and I have done if you are planning a 2-3 day trip to these cities.
March 22: JuJuBear, HoHo and I were coming from Berlin so we arrived around 7:45PM. Pegz was waiting for us at the hotel! This was kind of crazy times for us since we haven’t seen each other for 2 months when we all used to see each other almost everyday. Afterwards we went to KFC for some fast food but that was when something scary happened. While we were eating, a lady was begging for money and actually tried to grab someone’s jacket on the chair. The security guard pinned the lady down and it really scared the hell out of all of us. I guess that wasn’t the greatest first impression of a city. We went home and skyped with friends back home and that was the end of our night.
March 23: We woke up early to heard over to Prazsky brad (The Prague Castle). At first I thought it was one “palace” but there were many buildings that makes up the castle. We went t the St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, Basilica of St. George, Golden Lane and more. I really liked the Old Royal Palace since it had a lot of sunlight coming in through the windows. But my most favourite one of all was the St. Vitus Cathedral, from inside out! Around 4 PM we walked down to Old Town and also over the Charles Bridge. Around that time we were hungry so we went into a restaurant. It’s pretty shocking to see people allowed to smoke in the restaurant. The beer was cheap and food was good. We were planning to go out but unfortunately Hoho was getting sick so we stayed in our hotel instead which was cool too.
March 24: We went on a Free Walking Tour today and it was a lot of good info on Prague and Czech Republic. Apparently Czech Republic is only 20 years old! We tour around the Old Town and went to see the Astronomical clock. After the tour, Pegz have to go back to Brno, another city in Czech Republic where her AIESEC exchange is located. By now JuJuBear, Hoho and I were so tired so we just went to take a few pictures around the city and went to the shopping mall and just ate and bum around before our night bus to Vienna!
